Terroir Indonesia Sumatra Orang Utan, coffee beans

Small-scale farmers in the Gayo highlands in the north of Sumatra tend to their coffee plants in accordance with the strictest orang-utan guidelines. They have to avoid agrochemicals and protect the rainforest with all its animals and plants. In return, the families receive a bonus for each kilo of green coffee. With another bonus, we support the Sumatran orang-utan protection programme, which protects Sumatran orang-utans in partnership with the Indonesian government.
